Liverpool defender Virgil Van Dijk is an early doubt for the crucial top-of-the-table clash with Premier League champions Manchester City after he missed training with an unspecified problem.
The key Liverpool player is expected to take his place in the Liverpool team despite skipping training.
The good news for Liverpool fans is the return of captain Jordan Henderson who has produced some big performances in recent games including the home league game against North London club Tottenham Hotspur.

Jordan Henderson scored a big equalizer for Liverpool while they trail at home to Tottenham Hotspur who took the lead inside the first minute of their game at Anfield last month.
Liverpool were able to build on the equalizer from Jordan Henderson after the Reds scored the winning goal in a 2-1 win over Spurs courtesy the penalty from Mohamed Salah in the 74th minute.
The Reds were without their skipper for the Champions League win over Belgian top-flight side Genk in midweek but he’s expected to return to the starting XI after returning to Liverpool training.
Without him, Liverpool beat Genk 2-1 through a second-half strike from in-form midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain to secure top spot ahead of Napoli in Group E.
