Spanish giants Real Madrid are prepared to use winger Gareth Bale as a makeweight in a possible deal to sign Manchester City winger Raheem Sterling.

Gareth Bale is a long-term transfer target for Manchester United and the Welshman has less than three years on his current contract which expires at the end of the 2021/22 season.

According to Sky Sports News, Real Madrid want to offer £70m plus Gareth Bale for Raheem Sterling.

England international star Raheem Sterling has been a key player for both club and country for the better part of the last five years.

Raheem Sterling became a Manchester City player in the summer of 2015 following his big money move from Liverpool.

Manchester City paid £50m for Raheem Sterling and he has more than justified that price tally.

He has scored seven league goals for Manchester City this season.
