De Gea

Manchester United will be without star player David De Gea for the Europa League meeting with Partizan Belgrade of Serbia after he was left out of the traveling squad because of injury.

The Red Devils goalkeeper missed the last training session before the team traveled to Belgrade as a result of injury.

David De Gea picked up a muscle injury during the international break while he was representing the Spanish national team.

He sustained the injury during a Euro 2020 qualifier with hosts Sweden last week high ended in a 1-1 draw.

The Manchester United goalkeeper was a doubt ahead of the Premier League clash with Liverpool but he was able to feature for his team against the league leaders.

David De Gea played the entire duration of the game as the two teams shared the spoils via a 1-1 draw.

Manchester United could have won the game played in front of their home fans if not for the late goal scored by Liverpool substitute Adam Lallana.

The draw ensured that Liverpool acquired a six-point lead at the top of the Premier League table.

Apart from David De Gea, others like Paul Pogba, Axel Tuanzebe, Luke Shaw and Nemanja Matic will also miss the Partizan Belgrade game.
