Inter Milan attacker Alexis Sanchez could be ruled out until next year after he suffered an ankle injury during an international friendly with Colombia at the weekend.
Alexis Sanchez was forced off the game which ended in a goalless draw.
According to the Chilean national team manager Reinaldo Rueda, Alexis Sanchez needs surgery to correct the ankle problem and that it depends on Inter Milan to determine the time that he will go for the surgery.
Alexis Sanchez is on loan at Inter Milan from Manchester United at the moment having joined them during this summer’s transfer window.
The Chilean national team player will be on loan at Inter Milan until next summer.

Inter Milan will decide whether the Chilean will undergo surgery immediately or it would be delayed until a later time.
Alexis Sanchez had to leave Manchester United in the summer after the Chilean national team player endured a disappointing spell at Manchester United.
He scored just five goals in 45 games for the Red Devils over an 18-month period.
Alexis Sanchez will still have two years left on his contract at Manchester United when he finishes his loan deal at Italian Serie A giants Inter Milan next summer.
