North London giants Arsenal have maintained their unblemished start to their Europa League campaign this season after the latest win in the competition.

The Gunners thrashed Standard Liege 4-0 at home to make it two wins from as many as games.

The win over the Belgian top flight side ensured that they extended their lead at the top of Group F.

Young striker Gabriel Martinelli stole the headlines after he scored two goals against Standard Liege.

Gabriel Martinelli gave Arsenal the lead off a cross from fellow summer signing Kieran Tierney to make it three goals in two starts for his team.

The Brazilian attacker added a second goal almost immediately for the Gunners off an assist from English midfielder Joe Willock.

The second goal made him the youngest player to score a brace for Arsenal in an European game at the age of 18 years and 107 days.

Joe Willock turned goalscorer for the Gunners before the end of the first half to edge his team 3-0 up at the interval.

The impressive Martinelli turned provider for Dani Ceballos who added a fourth goal for Arsenal.

It was his first goal for the Gunners since he joined them on loan from Real Madrid in the summer.
