The Brazilian attacker added a second goal almost immediately for the Gunners off an assist from English midfielder Joe Willock.
The second goal made him the youngest player to score a brace for Arsenal in an European game at the age of 18 years and 107 days.
Joe Willock turned goalscorer for the Gunners before the end of the first half to edge his team 3-0 up at the interval.
The impressive Martinelli turned provider for Dani Ceballos who added a fourth goal for Arsenal.
