Barcelona legend Xavi Hernandez has named his three contenders for the Champions League title this season.

Xavi Hernandez talked about his top three picks for the Champions League title in an interview with the Daily Mirror.

According to him, former club Barcelona and the Premier League duo of Manchester City and Liverpool are his top three picks for the Champions League title this season.

Xavi Hernandez enjoyed a stellar career at Barcelona before he left them to sign for Qatari club Al Sadd.

He was recently appointed the manager of Al Sadd.

During his time at Barcelona, Xavi Hernandez won eight league titles, three Spanish Copa Del Rey titles and four Champions League titles.

His former team Barcelona have not won the Champions League since leaving the club in 2015.

Barcelona have crashed out of the Champions League at the semifinal stage in each of the last two seasons.

They were beaten by Liverpool over two legs at the semifinal stage last season before the Reds went on to beat Tottenham Hotspur 2-0 in three Premier League Derby thereby sealing a sixth European title.

For Manchester City, the semifinals remain their best result in the Champions League and that was achieved in 2016.
