New Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has been advised to adopt the Jose Mourinho style at Stamford Bridge.

Lampard was advised by Sky Sports pundit Paul Merson.

According to him, Frank Lampard needs to borrow a leaf from the Jose Mourinho book of management.

Paul Merson told Frank Lampard to prioritize results over entertainment just like what was obtainable during the Jose Mourinho era at the club.

Jose Mourinho had two spells as the Chelsea manager.

The Portuguese tactician is regarded by many as the most successful manager in the history of Chelsea.

Mourinho was the Chelsea manager for the first time between 2004 and 2007.

He won two Premier League titles during his first spell as the Blues boss and Frank Lampard was a key part of his team.

Jose Mourinho returned for his second spell in 2013 and went on to lead Chelsea to the 2014/15 Premier League title.

Ex-Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard would be hoping to achieve the same feat at Stamford Bridge.

He was made the Blues manager this summer following the exit of Maurizio Sarri.

Frank Lampard has struggled to achieve results as the Chelsea manager though his team has been entertaining.

He has won just one from his first five games as the Chelsea manager.
