Chelsea skipper Cesar Azpilicueta has narrated how they ignored the warning from manager Frank Lampard during the halftime of their Premier League clash with Leicester City.
Azpilicueta told reporters about the halftime warning ignored by the Chelsea players shortly after the game.
According to him, Frank Lampard told the players that they needed a second goal to secure the points in the home game against the Foxes.
Chelsea had a one-nil lead at halftime courtesy young English midfielder Mason Mount after the former Derby County loanee dispossessed Leicester City midfielder Wilfred Ndidi to fire the ball past Foxes goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel.
It was a magical moment for Mason Mount who scored on his home debut for his boyhood club.
Leicester City equalized in the second half through a bullet header from the aforementioned Ndidi who atoned for his error in the first half.
The header from Super Eagles star Ndidi was enough to earn Leicester City a point from the game.
Cesar Azpilicueta and Chelsea are still waiting for their first win of the season after three games.
Their next game is the league visit to newly promoted outfit Norwich City who won their first game of the season via the 3-1 win over Newcastle United at the weekend.
