Premier League: Owen Predicts Chelsea vs Leicester City

Premier League legend Michael Owen has predicted the outcome of the upcoming league clash between Chelsea and Leicester City.

The Liverpool legend predicted the game in a chat with BetVictor as he backed Chelsea to win their first game of the season.

The ex-Liverpool, Stoke City and Newcastle United striker said that Chelsea were unlucky to lose heavily in their opening Premier League game against Manchester United.

Michael Owen believes that former Three Lions of England Frank Lampard will get his first win as a Chelsea manager.

Lampard is waiting for his first win as a Chelsea manager competitively following his appointment this summer.

Frank Lampard and Chelsea lost their first league game of the season to Manchester United.

Chelsea were beaten 4-0 at the home of Manchester United courtesy goals from the likes of Marcus Rashford (a brace), Anthony Martial and substitute Daniel James who scored on his debut following his summer transfer from English Championship club Swansea City.

Chelsea then went on to lose the UEFA Super Cup to Liverpool via penalties.

The Reds beat Chelsea 5-4 on penalties after the two teams played out a 2-2 draw at the end of regulation time and extra time.

Chelsea lost 1-0 to Leicester City in the corresponding fixture last season.
