Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has praised the quality of new signing Christian Pulisic ahead of the Blues’ Premier League opener against top four rivals Manchester United.
Lampard and Chelsea start their Premier League campaign with a difficult away game with the Red Devils.
In his latest press conference ahead of the Manchester United game, Frank Lampard told reporters about the qualities of Christian Pulisic.
Lampard passed a vote of confidence in the United States of America international.
Chelsea agreed on a £57.1m fee with Borussia Dortmund for the player during the winter transfer window in January.
Pulisic went on to spend the second half of last season at Borussia Dortmund before he joined his new team this summer.
The 20-year-old is seen as the direct replacement for Eden Hazard who left Chelsea for Spanish La Liga giants Real Madrid this summer.
Real Madrid spent an initial fee of €100m on Eden Hazard to sign him this summer.
The transfer was a record for Spanish club Real Madrid.
His last game for Chelsea turned out to be the Europa League final which ended in a 4-1 win for the west London giants.
Hazard scored a brace during the game to lead Chelsea to victory.
