Premier League legend Matt Le Tissier has identified the title race winner for the new season which started on Friday.
The new Premier League season began on Friday night when hosts Liverpool thrashed newly promoted outfit Norwich City 4-1 at Anfield.
Matt Le Tissier spoke to Sky Sports about the Premier League title race as he tipped holders Manchester City to retain their trophy.
Manchester City have won the last two Premier League titles and former Southampton midfielder is backing the Citizens to make it a hat-trick of wins.
The Southampton legend said that Manchester City and Liverpool will fight for Premier League title race before adding that the Citizens will finish ahead of the Reds by five or six points to retain their title.
Matt Le Tissier also said that Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea will complete the final two spots in the top four.
According to him, Arsenal and Manchester United will miss out on the top four spots just like what was obtainable at the end of the last campaign.
Arsenal and Manchester United finished in fifth and sixth position respectively at the end of last season and the two teams will feature in the Europa League this season as a result.
