Arsenal manager Unai Emery has had his say on the Alex Iwobi transfer to fellow Premier League outfit Everton.

Alex Iwobi made a shock move from Arsenal to Everton on deadline day.

On his exit, the Arsenal boss praised his quality as he pointed out how he has been able to come through the Gunners Academy before making his mark on the first team.

Unai Emery went on to wish Alex Iwobi good luck in the new chapter of his career.

Alex Iwobi has signed a five-year deal at Everton until the end of the 2023/24 season after the Toffees agreed a fee rising to £40m for him.

The 23-year-old came through the Arsenal Academy and he went on to score 15 goals in 148 appearances for the first team.

During his time at Arsenal, Alex Iwobi won the 2017 FA Cup title for the North Londoners.

The 2017 FA Cup title was won by the Gunners after they defeated London rivals Chelsea 2-1 after extra time.

Aaron Ramsey scored the winning goal for the Gunners in extra time to hand them a third FA Cup title in four years.

Alex Iwobi was on target for Arsenal in what was his final appearance for the club, the Europa League final defeat to Chelsea (4-1).
