Premier League giants Manchester United are back in for Juventus attacker Mario Mandzukic according to Sky Sports.
The Red Devils had earlier pulled out of a deal for the retired Croatian international striker but recent reports claimed that they are back in the hunt for him.
Mario Mandzukic is seen as a short-term replacement for Romelu Lukaku at Manchester United.
Lukaku has joined Italian Serie A giants Inter Milan after growing frustrated with life under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at Manchester United.
The Belgian all-time topscorer had lost his place in the starting XI at Manchester United under the guidance of former club striker Solskjaer who became the manager at the end of last year.
Inter Milan will pay a total of £73.9m for his transfer from Manchester United.
Romelu Lukaku scored 27 goals in his debut season as a Manchester United player before he added 15 goals in the last campaign.
No one scored more than him at Manchester United over his two seasons at the club.
Lukaku scored 42 goals over the two seasons.
For Mario Mandzukic, the veteran striker recently signed a new deal at Juventus in April but the change of management has led to him being susceptible to transfer away from the club and Manchester United are interested in him.
