Premier League giants Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly agreed on a deal for highly rated Real Betis midfielder Giovanni Lo Celso.
According to Goal, Spurs have made a breakthrough in their quest to sign the Real Betis star and he is currently doing his medicals.
Tottenham have secured a €60m deal for Lo Celso after several weeks of negotiations with Real Betis.
The Spanish club will earn a profit of €35m on the player after he was signed for €25m at the end of his loan spell.
The 23-year-old spent the whole of last season on loan at Real Betis from French Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint Germain (PSG) before the Spaniards sealed a permanent move for him.
He was one of the best young midfielders in the Spanish La Liga last season.
Lo Celso was linked with Real Madrid and Manchester United before Spurs reached an agreement for his transfer.
The Argentine international scored 16 goals for Real Betis in 45 games in all competitions as the club finished in the top half of the table.
Real Betis finished the last Spanish La Liga season in 10th position.
Giovanni Lo Celso was busy throughout the summer as he represented Argentina at the COPA America tournament in Brazil.
He was an ever-present for Argentina at the tournament.
