Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku is closing in on a move to Italian Serie A giants Inter Milan after the two clubs agreed on a deal for him.

It was revealed on Wednesday that Manchester United have agreed on a transfer fee with Inter Milan for Lukaku after weeks of negotiations between the two giants of European football.

Business Times UK has revealed the financial details of the transfer which is expected to go ahead when the player completes his medical on Friday.

The agreement reached for Romelu Lukaku is £73.9m.

A further breakdown shows £64.7m in upfront payment plus £9.2m in add-ons.

Romelu Lukaku would earn €7m on a yearly basis when he completes his transfer to Inter Milan meaning that he will earn around his £255,000 weekly wages at Manchester United as soon as he becomes a Nerazzuri player.

The 27-year-old became disillusioned with life at Manchester United last season after he lost his place to Marcus Rashford when manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer became the Manchester United manager in December.

Lukaku was a £75m addition to the Manchester United squad in 2017 after joining from Everton.

The 27-year-old scored 42 goals for Manchester United in all competitions over the last two seasons since his transfer.
