Premier League giants Arsenal have confirmed the exit of young defender Dominic Thompson.
The defender has signed for English Championship club Brentford for an undisclosed fee.
He has joined the London club on a permanent deal.
The 19-year-old defender came through the ranks at Arsenal before making a total of 39 appearances for both the club’s u-18s and the club’s u-23s.
Dominic Thompson featured for the first team during preseason.
His transfer to Brentford was confirmed by Arsenal earlier on Thursday.
Arsenal have moved to replace him in their squad with the signing of Celtic left-back Kieran Tierney.
The Gunners and Celtic have agreed on a £25m deal for the Scottish international player.
In addition, his official unveiling is expected before the end of the transfer window on Thursday.
Arsenal had been in talks with Celtic over the aforementioned Tierney for several weeks.
The Gunners new recruit came through the ranks at Celtic and he has been a key player for the Scottish Premiership giants for the better part of the last five years.
