Manchester United legend Paul McGrath has exposed the major weakness of new signing Harry Maguire who completed his move to Old Trafford earlier this month.
In a chat with the Irish Independent, Paul McGrath pointed out that lack of pace could be the major undoing of Harry Maguire who likes to carry the ball out from his position at the back.
According to him, quality teams like Liverpool and Manchester City might expose that weakness when the new season starts.
The new Premier League season starts later this week.
Harry Maguire is the most expensive defender following his transfer to Manchester United from Leicester City at the start of this month.
The 26-year-old has signed a six-year deal at Manchester United till the end of the 2024/25 season.
Manchester United paid £80m for the England international thus making him the most expensive defender ahead of Liverpool star Virgil Van Dijk.
Dutch international Van Dijk has lost his place as the most expensive defender in world football with the advent of the Harry Maguire transfer.
Liverpool paid £75m to sign Virgil Van Dijk from fellow English club Southampton.
Van Dijk has emerged as a key player for Liverpool since his transfer in January 2018.
