The 24-year-old has been given an extended holiday after his toils for Ivory Coast at the ongoing African Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament in Egypt.
Pepe and Ivory Coast were knocked out of the tournament at the quarterfinal stage after the penalty shootout loss to eventual champions Algeria.
The club-record transfer fee involving Pepe will beat the present record held by Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang after his £57m move to German Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund at the start of last year.
Pepe scored 22 goals and also added 11 assists for Lille in the league last season as he helped the French club to secure a return to Champions League football.
