Spanish midfielder Dani Ceballos has completed his move to Premier League outfit Arsenal.

His transfer to Arsenal was confirmed by the Gunners earlier on Thursday.

The Spaniard has joined Arsenal on a season-long loan deal from Spanish La Liga giants Real Madrid without the option or obligation of a permanent deal.

Dani Ceballos has decided to leave Real Madrid in his quest to play regular first team football.

Arsenal won the race to sign the player ahead of North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur.

Dani Ceballos was close to joining Tottenham before the player opted for Arsenal mainly due to the influence of Gunners boss Unai Emery.

The 22-year-old had a phone conversation with his compatriot and that proved to be the catalyst for his move to Arsenal.

Unai Emery told him about his role in the Arsenal team for the new season and how he can become a better player at the club.

Dani Ceballos is the second signing of the summer for Arsenal after Brazilian attacker Gabriel Martinelli.

Young attacker Martinelli joined the Gunners in a £6m deal from Brazilian Serie A club Ituano.

Arsenal are still hoping to sign more players ahead of their opening Premier League clash with Newcastle United on August 11.
