Saint Etienne defender William Saliba will reportedly undergo his medical at Arsenal later on Tuesday according to the latest reports emanating from the British media.
This is according to the publication from the stables of Football London which revealed that the Gunners are about to make their second signing of the summer after the agreement with Saint Etienne for their young defender William Saliba.
The French youngster will have his Arsenal medical before an official announcement is made.
Earlier last week, widespread media reports claimed that the Gunners have won the race to sign the player ahead of North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur who tried to hijack the deal.
Arsenal had agreed on a £27m deal for the player initially before Spurs matched that offer with a better payment plan cum bonus package.
The Gunners then went on to match the Spurs offer with the players keen to join Arsenal ahead of their rivals.
William Saliba will return to Saint Etienne for the new season after signing for the Gunners on a five-year deal.
He broke into the first team at Saint Etienne during the second half of last season and he has never looked back since then.
William Saliba made 16 league appearances for Saint Etienne in the league last season.
