Italian Serie A side AC Milan have joined Manchester United in the race to sign Juventus defender Merih Demiral this summer.
According to popular Italian media outlet La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Rossoneri want to sign the young centre back during this transfer window.
It was revealed that Milan have already opened talks with Juventus and the player over a move to the San Siro.
Merih Demiral came to the Italian Serie A with Sassuolo during the winter transfer window in January before the 21-year-old joined Italian champions Juventus this summer.
The Old Lady paid €18m for him and they have gone ahead to reinforce their squad in the same position with the signing of Matthijs De Ligt from Dutch club Ajax Amsterdam.
De Ligt has joined Juventus in a deal worth €85.5m including €10.5m in add-ons thus making him the third most expensive player in the history of the Old Lady and behind the likes of new teammates Gonzalo Higuain and Cristiano Ronaldo.
The De Ligt transfer has pushed Merih Demiral further down the centre back pecking order at Juventus.
Manchester United have linked with the player but they will have to meet up with the €35m valuation from his club Diane.
