Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane has revealed that forward Gareth Bale is on his way out of the club.

When asked about Bale shortly after the International Champions Cup (ICC) friendly defeat to German Bundesliga outfit Bayern Munich, Zidane confirmed that they are working on a move away from the club for Bale this summer.

Gareth Bale was conspicuously missing as Real Madrid suffered a 3-1 defeat to the Bavarian giants.

Real Madrid wasted several good opportunities in the first half of their friendly loss to Bayern Munich.

French striker Karim Benzema was the major culprit for the Los Merengues.

Long-term Manchester United target Bale has always insisted that he would see out the rest of the three years on his contract with Real Madrid.

The 29-year-old has been strongly linked with a move to Bayern Munich who are still yet to replace the wing forward duo of Frank Ribery and Arjen Robben.

Ribery and Robben left Bayern Munich this summer at the end of their respective contracts.

Welshman Bale signed for Real Madrid in 2013 for a then world-record fee of £85.3m.

He signed for the Los Merengues after North London club Tottenham Hotspur gave the go ahead for his transfer.
