Premier League giants Arsenal are reportedly waiting on Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane to confirm the loan signing of midfielder Dani Ceballos this summer.
According to experienced journalist Charles Watts, Arsenal are waiting on Zidane to give his permission for Dani Ceballos to join them on loan for the new season.
The Gunners have already won the race to sign the Spanish midfielder ahead of North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur.
Arsenal have agreed to pay his salary for the entire duration of the loan and also pay Real Madrid a sizeable loan fee for him.
Once Zinedine Zidane gives his approval, the Spaniard is expected to head to Arsenal for his medical.
According to Charles Watts, the transfer could be confirmed as early as Wednesday when Arsenal and Real Madrid meet in the International Champions Cup (ICC).
Arsenal have won two out of two games at the preseason tournament and the Real Madrid clash would be their third and final game.
The Gunners beat German Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich 2-1 last week before beating Italian club Fiorentina 3-0 on Saturday night to continue their perfect record at the preseason tournament.
Dani Ceballos won’t take part in the ICC as he’s presently on holiday after his heroics for the Spain team that won this year’s European u-21 Championship.
