Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has revealed the reason behind the club’s recent non-activity in the transfer window.
According to him, Manchester United won’t overpay for their transfer targets this summer.
He was speaking during his pre-match press conference ahead of the club friendly with Leeds United.
Solskjaer and Manchester United have signed just two players this summer.
Welsh international star Daniel James joined Manchester United from English Championship club Swansea City this summer for £18m including £3m in add-ons.
He was the first signing of this summer’s transfer window for Manchester United before the Red Devils signed Aaron Wan-Bissaka from Crystal Palace.
Manchester United signed Wan-Bissaka in a deal reported to be around £50m thus making him the fifth most expensive transfer in the history of the club after Fred, Angel Di Maria, Romelu Lukaku and Paul Pogba.
A lot of players have been linked with Manchester United in recent weeks but the Red Devils have not gotten any other deal over the line.
Leicester City defender Harry Maguire is a top transfer target and recent reports claimed that the Foxes have agreed on a deal for him.
Sporting Lisbon midfielder Bruno Fernandes is also a strong target.
