Spanish La Liga champions Barcelona have reopened talks for Real Betis defender Junior Firpo according to the latest media reports in Spain.
The Catalan giants want to sign a left-back competition for first choice Jordi Alba.
According to Spanish media outlet Mundo Deportivo, the five-time European champions have reopened talks for Junior Firpo who’s rated at around €30m.
The Real Betis left-back has also been linked with Champions League holders Liverpool.
The Reds are in the market for a left-back replacement for Alberto Moreno who left the club this summer after his contract at Liverpool came to an end.
Alberto Moreno signed a five-year contract upon his transfer from Spanish La Liga club Sevilla in 2014 and that contract ended this summer.
The 26-year-old has since joined another Spanish outfit Villarreal this summer on a free transfer.
Junior Firpo had a very good season for Real Betis in the last campaign and his best game was against Barcelona.
He scored and also provided an assist as Barcelona stunned Real Betis 4-3 at the Nou Camp in one of their league meetings last season.
Junior Firpo was recently part of the Spanish u-21 team that won the European Championship in Italy and San Marino.

Report: Everton Eyeing £22.5m Alternative For Fikayo Tomori
Merseyside giants Everton have shifted their attention to £22.5m Barcelona defender Jean-Clair Todibo after the move to sign Fikayo Tomori from Chelsea stalled.
The Toffees were thought to be closing in on a loan deal for Chelsea centre back Tomori earlier this month but that transfer has stalled in the past days paving the way for the club to pursue other defensive targets.
Fikayo Tomori is now expected to stay at Chelsea to fight for his place in the team. The Nigerian-born England international came on as a second half substitute over the weekend as his team suffered their first league defeat of the season.

Everton are desperate to sign a new central defender in this transfer window and 20-year-old Todibo is the new target though the Merseysiders will have to contend with Wolves who are also interested in the young French player.
Barcelona Banned From Signing Liverpool Midfielder
Spanish giants Barcelona have been banned the club from signing midfield target Georginio Wijnaldum from Premier League champions Liverpool this summer.
La Liga officials have implemented strict financial guidelines on clubs in the top division this summer due to the Coronavirus Pandemic thus affecting Barcelona and their plans to sign players.
New Barcelona manager Ronald Koeman had wanted to sign Georginio Wijnaldum from Liverpool and Memphis Depay from French giants Lyon this summer but the Dutch tactician is unlikely to get his targets.
Wijnaldum and Depay both have one year left on their respective deals at Liverpool and Lyon. The two players were instrumental to the successes recorded by Ronald Koeman during his time as the Dutch national team manager.

Under the new financial guidelines, Barcelona will have to sell players to sign new players as they are struggling with an annual wage bill of €510m.
In addition, Barcelona also have to pay the same amount as the transfer fee to the Spanish government as part of the financial assistance to clubs during this Coronavirus Pandemic era.

However, pundits have noted that Ansu Fati is not a priority for Man United, especially if they are able to sign up Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund.
