Three-time European champions Manchester United have reportedly agreed on a world-record transfer fee for Leicester City defender Harry Maguire.
According to the publication from The Sun, Manchester United have agreed on a transfer fee of £80m for the Leicester City center back.
The Harry Maguire deal will surpass the current record transfer fee for a defender which is currently held by Liverpool centre back Virgil Van Dijk.
Liverpool paid £75m to secure the signing of Virgil Van Dijk from fellow Premier League club Southampton at the start of last year.
Virgil Van Dijk has been a very good signing for Liverpool since his move to Anfield in January 2018.

The Dutchman was part of the Liverpool team that won the Champions League title last month.
Manchester United would be hoping for a similar impact from Harry Maguire when he completes his move to the club later this month.
He has been penciled in for a medical on Monday.
Manchester United had earlier had a £70m bid rejected for the England international player but his desire to leave has played a big part in negotiations.
Leicester City were holding out for a bid of around £90m but it seems like the two clubs have settled for £80m.
