Europa League champions Chelsea are hopeful that German Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich will end their pursuit of winger Callum Hudson-Odoi.

According to the Independent, Bayern Munich are eyeing a big money move for Manchester City winger Leroy Sane which will automatically end their pursuit of Callum Hudson-Odoi if they are able to secure a deal for the German international.

Bayern are still hopeful of completing a club-record £90m transfer for Leroy Sane this summer though Manchester City want to hang on to the services of the winger who has two years left on his current deal with the Citizens.

Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi has one year left on his contract at Stamford Bridge and club officials are trying to secure him on a long-term deal to ward off the interest of Bayern Munich and all other interested clubs.

Apart from five-time European champions Bayern Munich, others like Borussia Dortmund and Liverpool.

Callum Hudson-Odoi has enjoyed a rapid rise to the top of English football after he became an important player for both club and country.

The 18-year-old was in good form for both England and Chelsea before a serious knee injury curtailed his progress.

He’s expected to return to action in September.
