Celtic manager Neil Lennon has provided an update on defender Kieran Tierney amidst the intense transfer rumours linking him with a move to other European clubs like Napoli and Arsenal.
Neil Lennon spoke about Kieran Tierney during his pre-match press conference ahead of the Champions League qualifier against FK Sarajevo.
According to him, there has been no development on Kieran Tierney after the club turned down a £15m bid for their player.
The Gunners have made Tierney their top transfer target as they try to strengthen the first team in the left-back area.
Arsenal manager Unai Emery is determined to sign a new left-back this summer ahead of the new season and Kieran Tierney is the main target.
The 22-year-old came through the ranks at Celtic before making his debut for the first team.
He’s open to the idea of leaving the club for England this summer.
Celtic are holding out for £25m for him which is a far cry from the aforementioned £15m bid from Arsenal.
Apart from left-back, Kieran Tierney can also play as a centre back and as a right-back.
The Scottish international player has been a key member of the Celtic squad for the better part of the last five years.
