Newly appointed Chelsea manager Frank Lampard is facing the first big decision of his short managerial career at Stamford Bridge.

According to the Daily Express, Chelsea manager Frank Lampard will have to decide whether or not to recall Atletico Madrid striker Alvaro Morata this summer.

Spanish international Morata is on loan at La Liga giants Atletico Madrid at the moment.

He joined Atletico Madrid on loan for 18 months until the end of next season in the wake of his move to the new Wanda Metropolitano Stadium during the winter transfer window.k

Since joining Atletico Madrid, Alvaro Morata has scored six goals in 17 appearances for the Spanish capital club.

Lampard and Chelsea can recall Morata this summer especially if Atletico Madrid are not willing to meet the £50m valuation set by the Blues hierarchy.

Frank Lampard will have to make the decision on the aforementioned Morata who scored 24 goals in 72 games in the colours of Chelsea.

The Chelsea legend was recently appointed as the new manager at Stamford Bridge.

He left Derby County to take the managerial job at his former club on a three-year contract worth £4.5m per annum.

Lampard spent just one season at Derby County who received £4m in compensation.
