Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku is eager to secure a transfer to Italian Serie A giants Inter Milan according to the publication from the stables of the Manchester Evening News (MEN).

It was revealed that the Red Devils striker wants the transfer done before the former Premier League champions jet out to Australia for preseason.

He’s scheduled to hold talks with Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer this week on his desire to leave England for Italy.

Inter Milan have made Lukaku their top transfer target this summer on the request of Antonio Conte who was recently appointed as the new Nerazzurri boss.

The former Chelsea boss tried to sign Belgian star Lukaku while he was the Blues boss only for Manchester United to beat him to his signature.

Conte was keen to mastermind the striker’s return to Stamford Bridge in the summer of 2017 before the player joined Manchester United in a £75m deal.

The Red Devils will want to recoup their transfer outlay on Lukaku this summer amidst the interest from Italian Serie A giants Inter Milan.

Lukaku has three years left on his current deal with the Red Devils.

The 26-year-old has scored 42 goals in all competitions in his two seasons at the club.
