Champions League holders Liverpool have renewed their interest in Spanish winger Dani Olmo after his stellar display for the u-21 team at the European Championships.

The Reds were interested in the player towards the end of last year but manager Jurgen Klopp and other Liverpool officials didn’t push for a transfer for him.

Dani Olmo plays his club football for Croatian top flight club Dinamo Zagreb.

Liverpool were connected to Dani Olmo nine months ago when they had an almost free run at him but other Premier League rivals want to sign the Barcelona Academy graduate after his spectacular outing at the European u-21 Championship.

The renewed Liverpool interest was confirmed by Croatian media outlet Sportske Novosti.

It was revealed that Premier League rivals like Manchester United and Arsenal have joined the race to sign Dani Olmo.

The 21-year-old won the man-of-the-match award as he helped Spain to win the European u-21 Championship via a 2-1 win over Germany in their final clash.

Dani Olmo didn’t make the grade at Spanish champions Barcelona but he has been able to show his quality at the tournament held in Italy and San Marino.

He scored three goals in five games at the tournament.
