North London club Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly ready to make an offer for highly rated Saint Etienne defender William Saliba.
This is according to the publication from popular French media platform RMC Sport.
Spurs have joined North London rivals Arsenal in the hunt to sign the young French centre back.
The Gunners are favourites to sign William Saliba this summer after his breakthrough season with Saint Etienne in the last campaign.
The 18-year-old made 16 appearances for Saint Etienne in the league as the French Ligue 1 club narrowly missed out on Champions League football after finishing the latest season in fourth place.
Only the top three places will qualify for Champions League football from the top flight of French football.
William Saliba is rated at around £20m by his French side who also wants him to return to the club on loan for one season after his sale has been sanctioned.
The French centre back is yet to make his debut for the senior team of France though he has represented his country at youth levels.
£20m-rated Saliba has represented the French u-16 team, u-17 team and the u-19 team.
Despite the interest of Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal remain the favourites to sign William Saliba this summer.
