Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi is reportedly closing in on a new deal at the club thereby warding off the interest of other European clubs like German champions Bayern Munich.

This is according to Metro which claimed that the young Chelsea forward will sign a new five-year contract despite the interest of the Bavarian giants.

Callum Hudson-Odoi has one year left on his contract with Chelsea and that has left his long-term future at the club in serious doubt.

The 18-year-old was seriously linked with Bayern Munich during the winter transfer window in January and also submitted a transfer request which was turned down by Chelsea.

Callum Hudson-Odoi has always churned out impressive performances in the colours of Chelsea whenever he was given the chance under former manager Maurizio Sarri last month.

The England international broke into the first team at Chelsea during preseason of last season.

Callum Hudson-Odoi didn’t finish the season after suffering an Achilles injury in April shortly after he made his international debut for the Three Lions of England.

The player will spend six months on the sidelines meaning that he’s expected to miss the start of the new Premier League season as a result of the previously mentioned injury.
