Merseyside giants Everton are reportedly plotting a big bid for Torino defender Armando Izzo according to respected Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio.

It was revealed that the Toffees are ready to make a €25m bid for the Italian international centre back.

Armando Izzo made his international debut in March 2019 during a win over Lichtenstein and he played as a right-back during that game.

The 27-year-old has been an instant hit at Torino following his move from fellow Italian Serie A club Genoa last summer.

Armando Izzo joined Torino from Genoa for €8m last summer and recent reports claimed that Torino want €30m for the player who scored four goals and also provided one assist in 37 league games during the recent Italian Serie A season.

He was a regular fixture in the Torino team that finished in the top half of the table under the guidance of experienced coach Walter Mazzarri.

Izzo could be the direct replacement for Everton skipper Phil Jagielka who’s expected to leave the club at the end of this month when his contract expires.

The Torino centre back has also been attracting the interest of both Arsenal and Manchester United apart from Everton.

He turned down a move to West Ham United last summer before signing for Torino.
