Sporting Lisbon midfielder Bruno Fernandes has been the subject of transfer interest from many clubs in the top flight of English football on the back of a stellar season.

Premier League sides like Manchester United, Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester City and West London giants Chelsea have all been linked with a move for Bruno Fernandes.

The 24-year-old was strongly linked with a move to Stamford Bridge when Spanish international Cesc Fabregas left Chelsea during the winter transfer window in January.

Fabregas left the club for French Ligue 1 giants AS Monaco and the Portuguese midfielder was seen as his replacement but the Blues were not able to sign him.

Bruno Fernandes was the highest goalscoring midfielder in European football during the just concluded season after he scored 32 goals in all competitions for his Sporting Lisbon side.

In addition, the Portuguese international also provided 18 assists to reach 50 goal contributions for the season.

He broke the record of Chelsea legend and former midfielder Frank Lampard (27 goals) for the most goals scored by a midfielder in European football to further seal his status as one of the most sought-after players in the transfer market.

Chelsea Starting XI (4-3-3): Kepa Arrizabalaga; Cesar Azpilicueta, David Luiz, Antonio Rudiger, Emerson Palmieri; Jorginho, N’Golo Kante, Bruno Fernandes; Christian Pulisic, Olivier Giroud, Pedro Rodriguez.
