Italian giants Inter Milan are keen to rescue the league title from fierce rivals Juventus and they have moved to achieve that target by appointing former Chelsea manager Antonio Conte as their new manager.

Inter Milan believe that Conte is the man to end Juventus’ domination and he has made Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku his number one target in the bid to achieve that target.

Antonio Conte was formerly a Juventus manager for three years between 2011 and 2014.

The ex-Italian national team manager led Juventus to three successive league titles to kick-start the present domination of Italian football from the Old Lady.

Juventus have now won eight successive league titles.

The last of those titles came at the end of last season courtesy Maximiliano Allegri who has since been replaced by compatriot Maurizio Sarri after he stepped down from his post despite leading Juventus to five straight league titles.

Belgian national team player Romelu Lukaku has previously talked up the possibility of a transfer to Italy and a move to Inter Milan will definitely appeal to him.

Inter Milan Starting XI: Samir Handanovic; Juan Jesus, Milan Skriniar, Miranda; Cedric Soares, Kwadwo Asamoah, Marcelo Brozovic, Radja Nainggolan, Ivan Perisic; Mauro Icardi, Romelu Lukaku.
