West Ham United forward Marko Arnautovic wants to return to the Italian Serie A this summer according to experienced Italian journalist Fabrizio Di Marzio.

It was revealed that the 30-year-old Austrian international is ready to quit West Ham United this summer.

The Chelsea and Manchester United target came close to leaving the Hammers during the winter transfer window in January but the move didn’t materialize.

Marko Arnautovic wanted to leave the East Londoners for the Chinese Super League (CSL) before he went on to perform a remarkable turnaround by signing a new West Ham United contract.

The Austrian forward has previously featured in the Italian Serie A with Inter Milan.

He spent one season on loan at Inter Milan from his then parent club Werder Bremen.

Arnautovic made three league appearances for the Nerazzurri without scoring a single goal.

Former Chelsea and Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho was his manager during his stay at the San Siro.

Mourinho led Inter Milan to a fantastic treble at the end of that season.

Marko Arnautovic has spent two years at West Ham United since joining from Stoke City.

He scored 11 league goals and also provided six assists in 31 appearances in his first season at West Ham before netting 10 goals and four assists in 28 Premier League games last season.
