Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp had earlier stated that he will not be going into the summer transfer window for big signings.
He stressed that he is happy with his team and will not seek to distract them. According to the German manager, the reason for his decision is based on the fact that none of the big stars will be leaving the club.
However, latest developments have hinted that the words of the German boss cannot be taken seriously.
Firstly, the Reds team have now realised that they really need to strengthen the squad if they must beat the competition from Man City for the English Premier League title. This is now a major concern for Liverpool, knowing that they have not won it in the last 29 years.

Also, Liverpool have been linked with a number of players and it is speculated that manager Jurgen Klopp is the one making the moves.
Thirdly, there is a bid by Liverpool to bolster their attack and give competition to Brazilian international Roberto Firmino.
Also, Liverpool have now been established as a big side after winning the UEFA Champions League title. That has exposed the club to a number of big names that would be difficult to turn down. The likes of Ajax defender Matthijs de Ligt is available to Liverpool.
Lastly, Liverpool can boast of having one of the best defence in Europe but they must do more to secure the goal post because of the E.expectations for next season.
