Liverpool have therefore been advised by former Tottenham striker Darren Bent to ensure the capture of the Netherland International before the end of the summer transfer window.
According to the Sky Sport pundit, Liverpool will be making a big statement to their title rivals Man City of their preparedness to win in the coming season if they secure the signature of Matthijs de Ligt.
