Former Premier League champions Manchester United are said to be mulling over possible bids for two of the best defenders in the top flight of English football.
This is according to the report from the Daily Express which claimed that the Red Devils are considering the idea of submitting bids for two defenders Harry Maguire and Toby Alderweireld.
England international Maguire plays his club football for Leicester City in the Premier League, while Belgian national team player Alderweireld also plays in the Premier League for Tottenham Hotspur.
Alderweireld was part of the Spurs team that reached the Champions League final recently before they were beaten 2-0 by Liverpool.

- Liverpool open negotiation for highly rated star to fill vacant role
He has a £25m release clause in his contract at Tottenham Hotspur which has one year to run and Manchester United could pounce on his transfer in their quest to sign new players to improve the squad defensively.
Manchester United had previously tried to sign Toby Alderweireld and the same applies to Harry Maguire.
The Leicester City defender has grown in leaps and bounds since his £17m move to the King Power Stadium from Hull City with whom he suffered relegation from the Premier League.
Manchester United tried to sign him last summer but they were unable to meet his valuation as set by Leicester City.
The Red Devils could still face similar problems with Maguire likely to go for at least £75m.
