Sane is being targeted as a possible replacement for Arjen Robben and Frank Ribery after both veteran wingers left the club at the end of their respective Bayern Munich contracts.
Earlier reports had claimed that Manchester City slammed an asking price of €100m on Leroy Sane who has two years left on his current deal at the Etihad Stadium.
Manchester City want him to sign a new contract at the club after he played a big part in their treble triumph during the just concluded campaign.
Bayern Munich were ready to spend as much as €80m on Sane which is still far from the asking price slapped on him by Manchester City.
