Ashley Young

Manchester United winger Ashley Young has been surprisingly linked with a move to the MLS (Major League Soccer) in the United States of America according to the report from the Manchester Evening News (MEN).

It was revealed that the former Watford and Aston Villa player could link up with former Manchester United teammate Wayne Rooney at MLS outfit D.C. United.

Ashley Young has reinvented his game to adapt to a left-back or a right-back role in recent years from being a winger/forward at the start of his career at Watford.

He has few months left on his Manchester United contract before the England international was handed a new one-year deal to take him to 2020.

Ashley Young is not the only Manchester United player linked with a move to D.C. United.

Manchester United winger turned right-back Antonio Valencia will leave the club on a free transfer this summer after his Red Devils contract expires and he has been linked with a move to the MLS with D.C. United.

Manchester United have a big problem in the right-back area after the likes of Young and Valencia fail to impress in the position on a consistent basis.

The Red Devils have been linked with players like Crystal Palace defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Paris Saint Germain (PSG) star Thomas Meunier in the quest to sign a new right-sided defender.
