Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has told his club captain Sergio Ramos that he can’t leave the reigning European champions for free this summer.
Spanish international Sergio Ramos had earlier requested for him to swap Real Madrid for the Chinese Super League.
The 33-year-old has a huge offer from China and he has set his sights on an exit from Real Madrid after getting fed up with the aforementioned Florentino Perez.
The Real Madrid president spoke about Sergio Ramos while he was on Spanish radio Onda Cero during a program known as El Transistor.
According to Florentino Perez, he can’t let Sergio Ramos leave the club for free as it would be setting a bad precedent at the Spanish La Liga outfit.
Sergio Ramos has two years left on his current deal with the Los Merengues until 2021.
The 2014 World Cup winner came close to joining Premier League giants Manchester United in 2015 before he went on to sign a contract extension until 2021.
He has been linked with both Manchester United and French champions Paris Saint Germain (PSG) though he has a concrete offer from China and the player is open to the move.
Sergio Ramos scored six goals and provided one assist in 28 league games during the just concluded season.
In total, he scored 11 goals and one assist in 42 appearances.
