Germany head coach Joachim Low has thrown his weight behind Manchester City winger Leroy Sane who’s set to take a big step in his football career.
In a chat with German newspaper SportBild, Joachim Low said that a transfer to Bayern Munich would be a good move for Leroy Sane.
Joachim Low was heavily criticized after he left Sane out of his 23-man squad ahead of last summer’s World Cup tournament in Russia.
Low and Germany went on to flop badly after crashing out of the group stage as the defending champions.
Germany finished bottom of Group F in what was one of their poorest World Cup tournaments ever.
Sane is back in the German fold and his manager believes a Bayern Munich transfer this summer will benefit him a great deal.
He was largely on the fringes of the first XI at Manchester City this season especially towards the end of the Premier League campaign.
Sane still scored 10 goals and also provided 10 assists in 31 Premier League games as Manchester City won the title for the second straight season by just one point.
Manchester City also won two domestic trophies with Sane to complete a sweep of all the three trophies on offer in England.
Sane, 23, has two years left on his current Manchester City contract and he has also been linked with Arsenal apart from the Bayern Munich links.
Recent reports claimed that Bayern is preparing an €80m bid for him.
