It is reported that the English Premier League outfit Man United are close to agreeing on a deal to secure the signature of Fluminense striker Pedro as the summer transfer window is set to be opened.
The Reds Devils boss is keen to land new players as he hopes to build a new and formidable team and Pedro has been identified as one.
Pedro was earlier on the radar of Spanish La Liga outfit Real Madrid and was close to joining them but the deal collapsed because he suffered a cruciate ligament injury which kept him sidelined for seven months.
The latest report claims that Man United are also in the race for the star player and have approached an official of the South American outfit with talks already ongoing.
A number of players are likely to leave the Old Trafford once the summer transfer window is opened as manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will not be willing to work with them anymore.
He complained about their lack of commitment to the club and their failure to sacrifice for the team, a development that contributed to why the Red Devils did not secure qualification to the Champions League as they finished sixth on the log.
However, Real Madrid is willing to pay the sum of €25 million (£22m) for Pedro which means the same amount could be expected from the Red Devils.
