North London giants Arsenal are eyeing a big money move for young Saint Etienne defender William Saliba.
According to the publication from popular media outlet Goal, the Gunners are pushing for a summer move for the 18-year-old utility defender.
William Saliba can play in several positions across the defence.
The highly-rated French defender has impressed a great deal since making his first team debut for Saint Etienne this season.
Saint Etienne has made 16 appearances for the French Ligue 1 club this season.
It was also revealed that the player has been attracting the interest of several clubs on the European football stage.
As many as 20 clubs are interested in the aforementioned Saliba.
Arsenal scouts were in attendance to run the rule over their transfer target Saliba at the weekend according to Goal reporter Charles Watts.
William Saliba played 90 minutes as he helped Saint Etienne to a 3-0 win over OGC Nice in their penultimate game of this French Ligue season.
Arsenal manager Unai Emery is most likely to strengthen his squad with a new centre back this summer in the wake of the average defensive displays shown by the Gunners during the just concluded Premier League season and French defender William Saliba fits the bill.
