The English Premier League outfit Liverpool have been urged to do all it takes to have a complete team ahead if the coming season or will also be edged out by the league champions Man City.

Man City emerged as the EPL champions in a slim one-point lead ahead of the Merseyside outfit who are runners up. It would be recalled that Liverpool also ended the 2017/2018 season as second to the Citizens.

However, Reds hero John Aldridge has called on his former team to end the dominance of the Citizens by going into the summer transfer window to have a more competitive team.

There is no doubt that Liverpool had one of the best squad in Europe, having finished the season with 79 points with just one defeat, in addition to reaching the finals of the UEFA Champions League which would be played against North London outfit Tottenham.

Reds hero John Aldridge noted that his former team had worked very hard to deserve winning the league title but they were cheated with the number of draws in the just concluded season.

He, therefore, stated that despite having a great squad, Man City will still spend big in the summer window. He expects his former team to do the same.

Liverpool boss had earlier stated that he would not have big money additions in the coming season, stressing that he has got a good squad and will not seek to distract the team.
