Joao Felix

Premier League giants Manchester United are said to be in negotiations over a possible transfer for highly rated Benfica attacker Joao Felix this summer.

The new status was revealed by popular media outlet Goal.

Joao Felix has been attracting the interest of several clubs in Europe and his Portuguese club has already rejected several bids for him.

Towards the end of last year, Liverpool were said to have had a £61m bid rejected for him according to various British media reports.

Joao Felix has tormented several defences at home and abroad on his debut campaign for Portuguese league leaders Benfica.

His finest hour came in the Europa League quarterfinal clash with German Bundesliga outfit Eintracht Frankfurt.

The Portuguese attacker scored three goals in the first leg of their last eight tie which ended in a 4-2 home win for his Benfica side.

Joao Felix and Benfica could not preserve the first leg advantage they had against 10-men Eintracht Frankfurt after they were beaten 2-0 in the second leg as their opponents qualified for the last four of the competition via the away goals rule.

Apart from Liverpool and Manchester United, other teams in the running to sign the 19-year-old include Italian champions Juventus, German champions Bayern Munich and many more.

Alisson  Becker

It has been observed that Liverpool are yet to settle with the goalkeeping department as claimed by many quarters.

The Reds team have been able to secure the signature of Brazilian international Alisson Becker and he has since become a major force in the team, helping with a number of clean sheets as well as playing a major role in delivering the UEFA Champions League title.

It was earlier insinuated that with the former AS Roma stopper, the Merseyside outfit will not have a need for a goalkeeper but that seems not to be happening as they are again linked with another shot-stopper.

According to Futbol Arena claims that Trabzonspor goalkeeper Ugurcan Cakir could be heading to Anfield this summer window after it is claimed that Liverpool are monitoring the star player.
`
The report adds that the Reds team are not confident of keeping Simon Mignolet which could mean bringing another shot-stopper before the end of the summer window.

There is no doubt that Alisson Becker will not be able to handle the entire games across all competitions in the whole season which makes it necessary for manager Jurgen Klopp to act fast before it is late.

Bruno Fernandes

It has been reported over the past weeks that Merseyside outfit Liverpool are keen on the signature of Portuguese outfit Sporting Lisbon midfielder Bruno Fernandes in this summer transfer window.

The Reds team are not the only club in the chase of the star player as Man United are also reported to be interested.

However, it is claimed that the Merseyside are no longer interested in signing the much-coveted attacking midfielder.

The report added that there was no intention by the club to land the Portuguese star as claimed in the press.

The 24-year-old is valued at about £60 million which Man United might be willing to pay and that is why the Red Devils have been tipped to win the race now that it has been confirmed that they are favoured in the chase.

However, manager Jurgen Klopp had earlier claimed that he would not be doing any big money signing in this summer transfer window as he hopes to keep his team together and not have them distracted.

It is still unclear if Liverpool will strengthen this summer window as they are yet to confirm any deal despite being linked with a number of names.

Paul Pogba

Italian Serie A giants Juventus have been dealt a big transfer blow in their bid to sign Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba this summer according to Sky Sports Italia.

Juventus want to bring Pogba back to Turin but they are second favourites to Spanish La Liga club Real Madrid.

It was revealed that the player favours a move to the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu over a transfer back to Turin.

Pogba was formerly on the payroll at Juventus before the Old Lady received €100m for his transfer to Manchester United in 2016.

The 26-year-old spent four hugely successful years at Juventus having joined the Italians on a free transfer in the summer of 2012.

Paul Pogba was a key player for Juventus during those four years which saw the Old Lady win four straight league titles in addition to reaching the 2015 Champions League final before they lost the trophy to Spanish champions Barcelona via a 3-1 win.

French international midfielder Pogba has publicly said that he is seeking new challenges though Manchester United are reluctant to let him leave.

The Manchester United Academy player has two years left on the five-year contract he signed when he returned to the club three years ago.

Manchester United Step Up Interest In 19-Year-Old Player

Premier League giants Manchester United have reportedly stepped up their interest in young Norwich City defender Max Aarons.

This is according to the publication from Sky Sports which claimed that the Red Devils have turned their attention to the 19-year-old after they were frustrated in their chase for Crystal Palace defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

Manchester United submitted two different bids for Wan-Bissaka but Crystal Palace are holding out for at least £50m excluding add-ons.

Their first bid was an initial amount of £35m plus £5m in add-ons which the Eagles swiftly turned down before Manchester United returned with the same initial amount of £35m plus £15m in add-ons.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka was one of the best right-backs in the Premier League last season and it’s more surprising that Manchester United want to sign him as a direct replacement for former club skipper Antonio Valencia.

Ecuadorian international Valencia has left Manchester United after his contract expired this summer.

Max Aarons is the go-to man for Manchester United in place of Aaron Wan-Bissaka if Crystal Palace continue to frustrate them in negotiations for him.

Norwich City star Aarons won the PFA Young Player of the Year during last season’s English Championship as he helped the Canaries secure a spot in the Premier League for next season.

Europa League finalists Arsenal are eyeing a move for highly rated Celtic left-back Kieran Tierney during this summer’s transfer window according to the publication from the stables of the Daily Mail.

It was revealed that Arsenal manager Unai Emery has identified the player as his top left-back target this summer.

The Arsenal boss wants a new left-back this summer but he might need to sell some players due to the Gunners’ lack of financial strength.

The North Londoners have £45m to spend on players excluding player sales and they are keen to strengthen the first team in four major areas namely wing forward, left-back, midfield and central defence.

Arsenal first choice left-backs Nacho Monreal and Sead Kolasinac were unable to convince Unai Emery about being the long-term solution for the Gunners in that position.

Kieran Tierney is a Scotland international who has proven to be a key player for Celtic in recent years.

The 22-year-old Scottish defender is a key part of the Celtic team that has won three trophies in each of the last three seasons including the last campaign.

Celtic won the Scottish Premiership title, Scottish League Cup title as well as the Scottish Cup title under the guidance of Neil Lennon who has been offered the managerial role permanently for the next one year.

This is according to the publication from The Sun which claimed that the immediate past European champions will make a swap deal for Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Christian Eriksen.

It was revealed that Real Madrid want to offer Spurs Dani Ceballos as well as £45m so as to sign Danish international Eriksen.

Italian Serie A giants Napoli have reportedly completed the signing of Colombian international goalkeeper David Ospina from Arsenal.

This is according to the publication from the stables of popular media portal Football London.

It was revealed that an official announcement won’t be made until after the ongoing COPA America tournament in Brazil.

David Ospina and Colombia made a flying start to their campaign with an impressive win over favourites Argentina.

The goalkeeper played the entire duration of the game and also kept a clean sheet for Colombia to win 2-0 in their Group B clash.

David Ospina has been at Arsenal since the summer of 2014 when he joined from French Ligue 1 club OGC Nice for around £3m.

The Gunners signed him shortly after his heroics for the Colombian national team at the 2014 FIFA World Cup tournament in Brazil.

Colombia reached the quarterfinals before they were eliminated by their hosts via a 2-1 win.

Ospina played second fiddle at Arsenal to recently retired goalkeeper Petr Cech for the majority of his Gunners’ career.

He joined Napoli on a season-long loan deal last summer with the Italians obligated to sign him permanently for £4m if he plays 25 games in all competitions.

The Arsenal shot stopper played 24 games in all competitions but Napoli still decided to sign him permanently.

German Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund have re-signed defender Mats Hummels from rivals Bayern Munich after three years with the Bavarian giants.

His transfer was announced on Wednesday afternoon by Borussia Dortmund.

Mats Hummels had earlier joined Bayern Munich on a free transfer in 2013 after his Borussia Dortmund contract ran out.

The 30-year-old had spent eight years at the Signa Iduna Park before his controversial exit there years ago.

Mats Hummels won two German Bundesliga titles, one German Cup and two German Super Cup titles during his first spell as a Borussia Dortmund player.

In addition, the recently retired German international was part of the Borussia Dortmund team that reached the 2013 Champions League final under the guidance of current Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp.

Hummels and Dortmund were beaten 2-1 by Bundesliga rivals Bayern Munich in that all-German Champions League final at the Wembley Stadium.

He was linked with a move to Premier League giants Manchester United last summer but the German centre back opted to stay with Bayern Munich whom he helped win a seventh successive league title last season.

Bayern sealed another Bundesliga title ahead of Borussia Dortmund on the final day of the season.

Borussia Dortmund tried to sign both Jerome Boateng (Bayern Munich) and Laurent Koscielny (Arsenal) before they agreed on a deal for Hummels.

Alexis Claude-Maurice

2006 Champions League finalists Arsenal have been handed a big transfer blow in their chase for Lorient forward Alexis Claude-Maurice (ACM) after the player preferred a move to Germany.

The young French player revealed that he wants to join German top flight side Borussia Moenchengladbach ahead of other interested clubs like North London giants Arsenal.

He made this known in an interview monitored by popular French news outlet L’Equipe.

Recent reports had claimed that the Gunners agreed on a deal with French Ligue 2 club Lorient for the 21-year-old at the third time of asking and that Arsenal are in negotiations for him.

On his preference for Borussia Moenchengladbach, Alexis Claude-Maurice said that the German club focuses more on the development of young players in addition to the fact that they have a good structure.

He added that the Borussia Moenchengladbach project is one that suits him.

Alexis Claude-Maurice is presently rated at around £18m by his club.

He scored 14 goals and also provided four assists for Lorient who missed out on Ligue 1 promotion in the last campaign.

The young French forward would have been the direct replacement for Danny Welbeck at Arsenal after the England international player was released earlier this summer.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka

Fallen Premier League giants Manchester United have made a new right-back signing a top priority during this transfer window and young Crystal Palace defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka is their prime target for the job.

The Red Devils have been frustrated in their negotiations with fellow Premier League club Crystal Palace over the potential transfer of Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

The former Premier League champions have made two separate bids for the England junior international and those bids were knocked back by the Eagles.

The first bid was £40m including £5m in add-ons, while the second bid was £50m including £15m in add-ons.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka has only spent one season in the English top flight but his impressive performances have propelled him to be one of the best right-backs in the league and Crystal Palace are demanding at least £50m excluding any add-ons.

Manchester United have other alternatives if they are unable to agree on a deal with Crystal Palace for the transfer of Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

Other right-back targets include Max Aarons of Norwich City FC, Thomas Meunier of French champions Paris Saint Germain (PSG) and Napoli defender Elseid Hysaj.

Manchester United XI (4-3-3): David De Gea; Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Victor Lindelof, Chris Smalling, Luke Shaw; Paul Pogba, Nemanja Matic, Juan Manuel Mata; Jesse Lingard, Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial.
