Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea is far from securing his long-term future at the club and the Red Devils are already making plans for his possible exit.
According to Goal, Manchester United could replace De Gea with Barcelona goalkeeper Jasper Cillesen this summer.
Cillesen has been the second choice goalkeeper at Barcelona since his transfer from Dutch Eredivisie giants Ajax Amsterdam but the Red Devils could give him the chance to be their first choice shot stopper if De Gea leaves the club.
For now, the priority of Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and the club is to sign De Gea to a new deal and also improve his form from the end of this season.
The Spaniard made several high-profile errors that ultimately affected the chances of Manchester United in both the Champions League and the Premier League.
David De Gea has one year left on his Manchester United contract amidst interest from French giants Paris Saint Germain (PSG) and Italian champions Juventus.
Manchester United might need to sell De Gea if he fails to sign a new contract in the next few weeks.
It’s advisable for the Red Devils to sell him this summer if a new contract can’t be agreed rather than let him walk away from the club for free.
