Merseyside giants Everton are eyeing a permanent transfer for midfielder Andre Gomes according to the publication from the Liverpool Echo.
Andre Gomes is on loan at Everton from Spanish La Liga champions Barcelona.
He has been in good form for the Toffees since joining them on the final day of last summer’s transfer window.
His form for Everton has not gone unnoticed with clubs like Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United who are said to be keen on a summer move for the player.
Andre Gomes is not expected to be a part of the Barcelona squad next season thus leaving the room for Everton and others to battle for his signature.
Everton manager Marco Silva told the Liverpool Echo that he would like the Portuguese international to be a part of his squad for next season.
The former Watford, Hull City and Olympiacos manager said that he has asked the club to sign his compatriot on a permanent deal.
Andre Gomes became a Barcelona player in the summer of 2016 when he joined them from Portuguese giants Benfica.
He had a torrid time at the Nou Camp in his first two seasons at the club before being loaned out to Everton at the start of his third campaign as a Barcelona player.
